Spotlight On UFC 120 Wagering Competition: No Huge Names But Plenty Of Major Action

MMA devotees have been spoiled at the sportsbook by the incredible matchups that they have watched in recent months and they’ve got the tendency to grumble if they do not get the big names they want in the UFC Main Events. So the upcoming UFC 120 wagering bouts have not been appreciated by much of the gambling public. Following beginning the 2010 calendar year with dream matchup following dream matchup in the UFC Main Events – or at the very least a celebrity studded lineup even if there were no fantastic matchups – MMA devotees are now quick to write the event off or stay away from it completely if there is not a world champion or a legend of the sport.

The UFC 120 probabilities action does not have any champion or big name in the roster but it could only be some of the greatest fighting that UFC fanatics are going to see all year.  Too usually these days, the UFC has been all style and little substance.  Certainly there have been some extraordinary matchups, with huge names in recent UFC Main Events.  But when was the most recent time that you saw a bout in one of these competitions that blew your mind?

Usually when the champs come out they make quick work of their competitors and take care of business.  Or when a legend of the sport steps into the Octagon, they are fantastic at selling tickets, but they’re normally about 5 years and twenty pounds past their fighting prime and embarrass themselves.

In the upcoming UFC 120 wagering action there aren’t a lot of recognizable names to the average UFC enthusiast.  And the names that are known are not exactly legends of the sport.  In contrast to the UFC 119 action, there are no champions or former victors in the UFC 120 gambling competition either.

And whilst that could turn some individuals off, the reality of the situation is that the UFC 120 only might be some of the greatest fighting that we have viewed at a UFC Main Event in some time.

On October sixteenth when the action ultimately gets underway in London, England, you may not recognize plenty of of the fighters but you will definitely recognize the high level of contest and fighting skill once the bell rings.

The Main Card is going to involve Dan Hardy, who’s not a legend but is undoubtedly a well-known MMA fighter. He’s competed in the sport since 2004, and has competed in numerous promotions such as Cage Force and Cage Warriors. He signed with the UFC in 2008. His handle, the Outlaw, comes from a screen name he used in the Cage Warrior forums when he was hunting for training partners. It stuck because he and another outlaw, Robin Hood, both come from Nottingham, England. He’s now ranked the #4 welterweight in the world by Sherdog.com.

John Hathaway was supposed to match Dong Hyun Kim, but Kim was pressured to withdraw from the Main Card following he sustained an injury. He’s been replaced by Mike Pyle.

The sport gambling headline fight will be Michael Bisping against Yoshihiro Akiyama.
