Barbie 3-Story Townhouse: All Cracked Up to Be?

My daughter absolutely delights in this house and the entire sounds it makes as well as the elevator. But, it came cracked inside box in terrible condition. This 7 year-old daughter obtained this for Christmas. Great dollhouse, but one or two tips..

I read loads of negative reviews before purchasing this dollhouse, but I thought we would purchase it anyway…mainly as it made me nostalgic belonging to the dollhouse a friend of mine had when i was young. It was a tad pricey, but I got it when Toys R You offered the free handheld control corvette..so it was a whole lot as my daughter is in love with it. We bought this for Christmas for my 3 year old little girl. My husband and POST put this together with Christmas Eve and I must say, yes the instructions are horrible. The most difficult part is the elevator. But just look at the picture on the package to guide you and take note of the columns. Some have slots for your elevator to slide along. Once you have strung the elevator, if it might appear to be the string is stretched..make sure that the actual roof is on tightly and that offers you a little more leeway. There are working sounds and lights through out the house. On the first floor- the door bell rings, the chandelier lights up as well as the refrigerator lights up. We had issues getting the chandelier to return on (as did several people), but found that you just have to make sure the chandelier is within tightly and properly. Also you should install the door tightly in the process. There is a button in the top hinge that activates the chandelier should the door is open..so if it is far from in good it won’t work right. On the second floor- the television jumps up, fireplace lights plus crackles, the shower makes water sounds so you hear Barbie singing as well as toilet flushes. We had a dilemma with the fireplace. The tv popped up when most people pressed the button, but no light or sound from the fireplace. It seems that the fireplace is not totally installed. Check to ensure that it is fitting snugly contrary to the wall. There is a new button behind the fire place mantle that actives your lights and sounds. Click it into place so that it is snug against your wall wand your signals and sounds should work. However if you tend to be like us..once we did the fact that TV wouldn’t pop way up right. On the 3rd floor- the jacuzzi isn’t going to actually work unlike many of the pictures may lead you to believe. There is simply no bubbling mechanism. It does however hold water along with the Tiki lights do job. The batteries for your Tiki lights were incorporated, but I had to supply the ones for your house (I think 3 AA). Overall I do think the house is great. I think it was very sturdy unless your kids plans to climb on it. No different from any other dollhouse made from Barbie. I became actually very pleasantly surprised with the space. There is a good deal. I didn’t expect the floors for being so wide. It is very extra tall and I don’t think it’ll be very easy to receive a part once put with each other, so make sure you understand. It is a beautiful house that additionally comes fully furnished. The furniture isn’t the greatest, but continue to nice. There are loads of little pieces for the kitchen and bathroom, but you can usually put them away like I did should you not want your child to acquire them yet.
